Dr.Oak separated successfully Xipho-Omphalopagus conjoined twins on
23-09-2006 in B.Y.L.Nair Ch. Hospital. The twins born to an extremely
poor daily earner’s family were adopted by the hospital for seven
months. They shared liver and undwent a successful separation by a team
of doctors and paramedics which was lead by Dr.Oak S.N.
On 21st March 2006 2 babies fused at the level of abdomen and
umbilicus were referred to Dr.S.N.Oak. They were born to a family of
four from low socioeconomic class. Their father is a rickshaw driver
and the family has 2 elder daughters.
These conjoined twins were in Department of Paediatric Surgery under leadership of Dr.S.N.Oak and they were reared for 6 months. |
